Call Senator Maldonado!

ABX1-1, the landmark health care reform bill that would reform California's broken health care system and help millions of uninsured residents get coverage, is scheduled for a full hearing in the Senate Health Committee tomorrow. 

Passage of the bill through the committee isn't guaranteed, though.  If the committee vote fails, that would be the end of health care reform.  Your Senator, Abel Maldonado, is a member of the committee, but he hasn't yet taken a position on health care reform.

Please call Senator Maldonados office, at (916) 651-4015, and ask him to vote for health care reform.

Here's a sample message you can leave:
   "Hi, my name is [name], and I’m a CALPIRG member who lives in [town/city name], in the Senator’s district.  I’m calling to ask the Senator to support the health care reform bill, ABX1-1, and vote for it in the committee hearing tomorrow."
