Call Senator Yee!

ABX1-1, the landmark health care reform bill that would reform California's broken health care system and help millions of uninsured residents get coverage, is scheduled for a full hearing in the Senate Health Committee tomorrow. 

But just a few hours ago, your Senator, Leland Yee, announced that he would oppose the bill.  Since he's a member of the Senate Health Committee, if he votes against it in committee, that could be the end of health care reform. 

Please call Senator Yee's office, at (916) 651-4008, and ask him to vote for health care reform.

Here's a sample message you can leave:   

    "Hi, my name is [name], and I’m a CALPIRG member who lives in [town/city name], in the Senator’s district.  I’m calling to ask the Senator to support the health care reform bill, ABX1-1, and vote for it in the committee hearing tomorrow."
