San Diego needs first-class public transportation. We call on our transportation agency, SANDAG, to prioritize projects that:

• Expand the number of convenient, reliable commuting options, including rail, bus, and cycling.

• Improve public transit connectivity between residences and regional destinations such as employment centers, universities, entertainment areas, and shopping centers.

• Cut our dependence on expensive gasoline, and reduce our global warming emissions.

• Encourage more commuters to ride public transportation instead of driving.
