Letter	Investing billions in our roads and highways alone won't solve our congestion problems. Travel between cities is expected to increase 63 percent by 2025. That's why I'm urging you to back funding measures to start laying the tracks for high speed rail. The rail line will take travelers from Los Angeles to the Bay Area in just two and a half hours, with one-fifth of the pollution of cars. High speed rail will attract up to 92 million travelers who would otherwise drive, and 18 million travelers who would otherwise fly, reducing congestion. What's more, it will cost less than the highway and airport expansions we will need without it. So, let's get going and put the train in motion!
