CALPIRG is working with State Senator Dean Florez on legislation to improve the transparency and accountability of some of the biggest tax subsidies the state gives out. If a corporation takes more than $1000 in tax payer backed subsidies they will be included on the state’s transparency website, www.reportingtransparency.ca.gov, along with how much they are taking and what the state is supposed to get in return.
