Clean Energy On Campus

In addition to our work in the state Legislature and Congress, CALPIRG is working at California universities to adopt clean energy policies on campuses and set an example the rest of the state to follow. In 2006 the highlight was CALPIRG’s student chapter at UC Santa Cruz, where the student body voted to pass a CALPIRG-led measure to use 100 percent clean renewable energy sources like wind and solar power throughout the university campus.
